| 1. Nynn/Nin, Muse of Astronomy 2. Ansel, Muse of Music 3. Leon, Muse of History 4. Lexas, Muse of Mechanics 5. Crypt, Muse of Poetry 6. Max, Muse of Comedy 7. Finn, Muse of Tragedy
Each Muse has a Pure form. Generally, their appearance and clothing changes, as well as letting them unlock their full powers. In some cases, their Pure form has an animal companion, though in recent years the 'animals' have become objects, such as Ansel's fireflies becoming glowsticks. Mostly their personalities do not change when they enter Pure form.
They can access their Pure form at any time they wish, though it often drains them of energy, so they usually enter it in only the most dire circumstances. Though Muses usually travel or live near each other, there is no consequence for a Muse living away from the others, meaning that some of the Muses may live in entirely different cities or countries from each other. However, the Muses usually keep in close contact if a few of them have strayed from the pack.
I'll have seperate posts for each of the Muses, just so I can keep track of them easier.

 | Subject: Finn, Muse of The Written Word Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:42 pm | |
| Name: Finn Balland Gender: Male Nationality: French Muse: Tragedy
Appearance: Has long, lavender hair which reaches the ground and very pale skin, which makes him look almost like a china doll. Finn is quite short, only reaching 5'4, and has delicate features, which makes him look incredibly fragile. He also has a frown on his face most of the time, and his smile is basically the corners of his mouth turning up. Due to his appearance, he is often mistaken for a young girl.
In Pure form, his hair grows longer and becomes a very dark purple, almost black, though it looks blue in the light. Whatever clothing he is wearing turns into a long, dark purple robe. He also grows taller. In this form, he also has a giant raven (about as big as a German Shepard) which can turn into a sword, named Fayte.
Personality: Finn is generally very serious and quiet, only speaking when spoken to or if he feels he has something incredibly important to say. Finn is dignified and usually respects everybody, even those in positions below him. However, if something is going terribly wrong, he will often say 'What a tragedy'. This usually means that something terrible will come of the situation, making it a tragedy.
Finn is always polite in his refusals to Max (if it was anybody else, he probably would have killed them by now), and has a soft spot in general for his fellow Muses. Despite being around death and sadness so much, he tries his best to keep the rest of his 'family' happy. Because of this, he will do anything to protect his family, yes, even Max. Though he's quite annoying.
Powers: Finn can predict people's deaths, and can also sense when something tragic is about to happen, such as a natural disaster, up to a week in advance (shorter for non-humans).
In Pure form, Finn can actually push people to suicidal thoughts and generally make people around him feel depressed. He, of course, has Fayte, who can turn into a sword as well. The sword cannot make physical wounds, but instead inflicts emotional wounds. Also, by pressing the hilt to someone's chest, it can heal all wounds that have been inflicted by the sword or by events in the person's life. However, these wounds must be transferred to someone else: they can never completely go away.

 | Subject: Max, Muse of The Spoken Word Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:47 pm | |
| Name: Max Van Ranst Gender: Male Nationality: Dutch Muse: Comedy
Appearance: Max is a lanky, brown haired, blue eyed soul with a passion for loose, casual clothing. It's rare to see him in anything other then a t-shirt and jeans. His hair reaches his chin, mostly because he cuts it himself and does a horrible job of it.
In his Pure form, he looks pretty much the same, save for his outfit, which is usually in bright colors, and is a cross between a ninja's outfit and a joker's costume. And he doesn't have to wear the dorky hat.
Personality: Max is a very fun-loving and happy guy, who tends to make friends easily with his jokes. He doesn't take things personally... which is usually not an issue, seeing as he's not the brightest crayon in the box. However, he makes up for his lack of mental skills with enough confidence to make you think that he's telling the truth, even if he's completely bullshitting everything, which he usually is.
Max is known to be incredibly flirtatious, usually flirting with every girl (or boy) he comes in contact with. However, his heart is set on his one true love: Finn, the Muse of Tragedy. Despite the fact that Finn repeatedly denies Max's constant attempts at love, this doesn't dissuade him from trying again, and again... and again. He's tried all kinds of methods to ask Finn to go out with him, and is sure that one day he'll find the right way to win Finn's heart.
There have been no recorded moments of Max being sad, though he has been silent and even contemplative at previous moments. Max in this sort of state, however, is incredibly rare. Like albino elephants.
Powers: Max can often recover fully from even the most drastic physical wounds, allowing him to hurt himself in order to complete tasks without much forethought. He is also incredibly flexible and can bend himself into many different positions without pain.
In his Pure form, he recovers quicker and becomes even more flexible, but gains the abilities to do all sorts of things, such as create copies of himself or even remove his limbs, by bending space and time, though he can only do so much, and he knows his limits. His most powerful ability is that he can make his opponents laugh themselves to death, literally.
This love has taken it’s toll on me He said goodbye too many times before And his heart is breaking in front of me I have no choice cause I won’t say goodbye anymore -This Love by Maroon 5

 | Subject: Ansel, Muse of Deception Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:49 pm | |
| Name: Ansel Asher Gender: Male Nationality: American Muse: Music
Appearance: His hair is short and spiked, dark purple with yellow and black streaks. He generally wears all kinds of clothing in bright and exotic colors. He is of average height and weight, though he doesn't have much in the way of muscle. In his Pure form, Ansel's hair grows long to reach his waist and retains it's strange coloring, though his clothes become much more edgy, as well as he becomes surrounded by glowsticks, which follow him around.
Personality: Ansel, as the Muse of Music, is a very rebellious but fun-loving guy. He generally values partying over everything else in his life, even the friendship of the other Muses. He can be very kick-back and welcoming one moment, crazed and destructive the next. It takes a LOT of alcohol to make Ansel drunk... he has an inhuman ability to drink and yet remain completely understandable. However, the kinds of things he talks about in the first place don't make much sense anyways... only with true understanding of Ansel's thought process and some time to think about it can you really get the full meaning of what Ansel is saying (much like any good song lyric).
Ansel tends to be very forward when he loves someone, and will often find crazy ways to express it to them. It might be singing to them from beneath a balcony, or yelling it to them during a sky dive. It might even be holding up a sign in the background of a popular TV show or the local news. However, when spurned or let down in love, Ansel can easily fall into a deep depression, which gets him nowhere, since he cannot die by his own choice.
Powers: As part of being a Muse, Ansel can sing incredibly well, as well as play most instruments, even if he hasn't even seen one before. It comes naturally to him. He has an amazing talent with words, often able to sweet-talk people into whatever he wants, though his words have a much more profound effect if he sings them.
In his Pure form, he can send out intense vibrations through the ground or through the air to damage any enemies. He can also turn music into visible, physical weapons. The weapons change depending on what kind of music is playing.
Ansel is also good with a motorcycle, and rides one he calls Stagelight. It has a built in radio that he can turn on in case he's in a battle where there isn't a convienient source of music.

| I like your characters, and how they each have a different nationality. Usually, people like to stick to Americans, and never think 'outside the box.' Fantasy isn't really my favorite genre, but I can sense that you like it, and you seem to be really good. I like how you went into detail about some of their personailties, and how you quoted some songs for each one. I can see you are still working on some of them, but I like their muse. =3 I understand you like to play males, I prefer females, so.... Anyways, I think you might want a little variety...females aren't that hard to play. Then again, they might be easier for me because I am one..../: Ach Im rambling again. xD Anywho, I like them. |

| Even if I don't really get what a muse is, they're still good (well.. the ones you've finished anyways). I noticed that they're all males.. is that for a reason? Or are they just easier for you to play? And like Blizz said about the nationality, I like that they're all different; since most people don't care to use their heads and realize that there are other nationalities besides American.
